Review by hotel critic
During our recent stay at the Coach House, I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of luxury and value that this property offers. Nestled conveniently between Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, the location made it easy to explore both charming towns. The room was spacious, featuring a comfortable sitting area and a notably clean environment, which is a must for any discerning traveler. One aspect I appreciated was the in-room breakfast service. Each morning, I was greeted with fresh pastries and warm options, conveniently delivered to my door. This was complemented by the availability of an electric kettle, allowing for a cozy tea ritual in the mornings. The hosts, Em and Mark, were welcoming and attentive without intruding on our privacy. They ensured my needs were met, such as accommodating an earlier breakfast—something I value as a busy history teacher. The Coach House strikes a commendable balance between comfort and cost; I found it difficult to argue against the level of service provided for the price. If you're considering a stay in this picturesque area, I'd certainly recommend the Coach House for its thoughtful amenities and prime location.
